Four-year letterwinner for the EMU football team... Started four seasons at offensive left tackle from 1995-1998... Served as team captain in 1998... Named team Most Valuable Player in 1998: only the second time the award was given... Two-time Mid-American Conference First Team selection in 1997 and 1998... Named Third-Team All-American by "The Football News" in 1998... First football player in school history to be named to four post college All-Star games, with invitations to the Senior Bowl, the East-West Shrine Game, the Blue-Gray Game and the All-Star Gridiron Classic... Finished his career with 254 pancake blocks and 33 game starts, which ranks 14th in the EMU all-time record books... Highest National Football League draft choice in EMU history when he was selected as the 21st pick in the 1999 draft as a first-round selection of the Arizona Cardinals... Played 11 years in the NFL for the Arizona Cardinals (1999-2005), the Cleveland Browns (2005-2006), the Miami Dolphins (2006-2008) and the San Diego Chargers (2008-2010)... Played in a total of 146 games in the NFL starting in 127 of the contests.
