Competed in athletics before the school sponsored varsity athletics for women... Become a standout softball and field hockey player after graduation and played in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League from 1946 until the league folded in 1954.... Was introduced into the National Polish-American Sports Hall of Fame in 1999, just the fifth female in history named to that prestigious hall of fame... Had a small part in the Hollywood movie, "A league of Their Own", which told the story of All-American Girls Professional Baseball League... Completed her time in the AAGPBL by being named to the league's All-Star team as a catcher... Taught for 28 years in the Van Dyke-Warren Schools and while teaching, started playing field hockey and went on to earn a spot on an All-star team that toured Europe... Stayed active in Field hockey as an administrator and coach and went on to become first vice-president of the U.S. Field Hockey Association in 1967 and again in 1970.
